NIST issues draft guide on using risk management framework to implement zero trust architecture

A new guide from the National Institute of Standards and Technology offers system administrators advice on using risk management tools as they implement zero trust architecture approaches to cybersecurity, pointing readers to NIST’s Risk Management Framework and explaining how that document “can be used in a zero trust migration process.”

The white paper, “Planning for a Zero Trust Architecture: A Starting Guide for Administrators,” was released Wednesday and is open for comment through Sept. 3.
