NIST emerges as key player in implementing Trump's cybersecurity agenda

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is playing an active and central role in implementing President Trump's cybersecurity agenda, as laid out in his executive order issued in the spring, which is intended to overhaul the government's information technology systems to make them more secure, strengthen global ties and deter foreign cyber adversaries, and boost the resiliency of the nation's critical infrastructure to growing threats.
