NIST ‘concept paper’ outlines approach for developing artificial intelligence risk framework

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is working on the development of an artificial intelligence risk management framework and detailed its initial efforts in a recent “concept paper” breaking down a proposed approach.

“The AI RMF is intended for voluntary use and to address risks in the design, development, use, and evaluation of AI products, services, and systems,” NIST says in the paper published on Dec. 14.
