Nielsen says DHS has 'authorities needed' on election security, pushes DHS authorization bill

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said that DHS has all the “authorities” needed to address election security issues, while simultaneously pushing for passage of a bill to reauthorize DHS during a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing Tuesday.
