NHTSA plans to cover trucks, buses as well as cars under autonomous vehicle guidance

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is working on an update to its landmark guidance on autonomous vehicles -- including recommendations on cybersecurity and privacy -- to cover not only consumer cars but also commercial trucks and buses, as lawmakers are still seeking to strike a deal on a self-driving car bill that covers all vehicles.
