New actions against China draw support, calls for policy follow-through

The Justice Department today announced new indictments aimed at Chinese hacking of U.S. intellectual property, while the departments of Homeland Security and Energy sent out related warnings and details about ongoing “malicious” cyber activity from China.

The indictments against two Chinese citizens were announced by senior law enforcement and Department of Defense officials and charge “conspiracy to commit computer intrusions, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.”

They come amid deep trade tensions between the two countries...
