Need for training initiatives, passage of ‘innovation act’ flagged at House Homeland hearing on emerging tech and cybersecurity

Lawmakers on the House Homeland Security cyber subcommittee quizzed a panel of technology policy leaders on security issues related to emerging tech including artificial intelligence and quantum computing, with a focus on training initiatives and support for NIST’s post-quantum cryptography effort.

The subcommittee hosted a Wednesday hearing titled “Securing the Future: Harnessing the Potential of Emerging Technologies while Mitigating Security Risks.”
