NCD Coker sees opportunities to use FCC Internet of Things cyber label for incentivizing long term investments

National Cyber Director Harry Coker identified opportunities for the Federal Communications Commission’s upcoming Internet of Things cyber labeling program to further a major priority of President Biden’s national cyber strategy to encourage investments in cybersecurity.

The Office of the National Cyber Director is a “strong” proponent of the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark, Coker said, because it “benefits consumers and [will] enhance our overall national security and prosperity.” Coker spoke at a Tuesday event hosted by the Consumer Technology Association.
