National Archives plans to add controlled unclassified information policy into federal acquisition rules

An office in the National Archives and Records Administration is seeking to amend the government’s acquisition rules to put in place a new policy for departments and agencies on how to handle controlled unclassified information, moving the civilian side of government into a new regulatory environment that has created conflicts between the Defense Department and its industrial base.
