Military's Cyber Command seeks more funding for 'Hunt Forward' operations

U.S. Cyber Command is requesting an extra $106 million in fiscal 2021 for three programs: "hunt forward" capabilities, access operations and Defense Department information network security.

In a Feb. 20 letter and "Unfunded Priorities List" sent to House Armed Services Chairman Adam Smith (D-WA) and obtained by Inside Defense, CYBERCOM Commander Gen. Paul Nakasone seeks the extra funding "should additional resources be available."
