Microsoft leader Smith offers cyber steps to accompany senators’ AI framework

Microsoft president and vice chair Brad Smith in testimony today before a Senate Judiciary panel praised the framework for AI legislation offered by Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Josh Hawley (R-MO), while suggesting ways to apply the senators’ approach toward advancing cybersecurity goals by embracing NIST’s AI risk management framework.
