Luetkemeyer doubles down on need for ‘immediate’ data-breach notification

Despite industry representatives calling for more flexible language, Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO) maintained the need for entities to make “immediate” notifications of consumer data breaches during a House Financial Services subcommittee hearing on legislation he authored.
