Long-awaited DHS rulemaking establishes new pathway for cyber workforce hiring, while implementation remains uncertain

The Department of Homeland Security has cemented the creation of its Cybersecurity Talent Management System in a new interim final rule, fulfilling a project started in 2014, while still leaving unanswered questions on how the new hiring pathway to recruit talent will work in practice.
