Learning to love the SBOM, latest on privacy framework, and more about bots

The white space between mandatory government cyber rules and voluntary industry security efforts continues to offer opportunities for progress in key cybersecurity domains, and virtual events on Thursday provide a chance to assess work in two such areas: developing a “Software Bill of Materials” and a framework around digital privacy policies.

Commerce Department agencies are leading both efforts: the National Telecommunications and Information Administration on the SBOM initiative and National Institute of Standards and Technology on a voluntary privacy framework....
