Lawmakers zero in on supply-chain risks, with China squarely in crosshairs

Supply-chain issues – particularly related to China and telecom – have been of burning interest on Capitol Hill in recent days, as the Trump administration unveiled a long-awaited executive order on the topic.

Christopher Krebs, head of DHS' Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and State Department cyber official Robert Strayer testified Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee on China issues, where they encountered senators with deep worries about Beijing’s intentions and the activities of companies like Huawei.
