Lawmakers, federal officials begin examining next set of cyber policy needs amid COVID and landmark hacks

Cyber players on Capitol Hill are likely to focus on oversight of COVID response and related security issues, supply-chain security and DHS activities in general following enactment of the American Rescue Plan Act, which President Biden signed into law this afternoon.

Enactment of the COVID relief measure opens up $650 million in new funding for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, $1 billion for the Technology Modernization Fund, plus other money for digital upgrades.
