Lawmakers address cyber threats from China as interest grows in protecting U.S. supply chains

The House’s move to overwhelmingly pass legislation on TikTok shows an increased interest from lawmakers in addressing national security threats from China, as the Biden administration also ramps up its efforts to address specific sectors in the U.S. supply chain.

Threats from China have been an increased area of focus at the Federal Communications Commission for years with formal efforts starting in 2020 to ban Huawei and ZTE from U.S. networks.
