Key House GOP committee leaders question SEC constitutional authority to issue cyber rules

A letter from the top Republicans on the House Financial Services, Oversight and Appropriations committees questions the Securities and Exchange Commission’s rulemaking authority across a range of issues in the aftermath of recent Supreme Court decisions, specifically flagging an SEC cybersecurity proposal that has triggered significant pushback from industry groups.
