Industry warns against regulations in addressing botnet threats under Trump cyber order

The telecommunications industry and a major business group are urging the Trump administration to avoid setting regulatory requirements to address the growing threat of automated cyber attacks under the president's cybersecurity order.

The industry groups strike a similar tone, while offering varying specific recommendations for the Trump administration to mitigate the worsening threat of botnet attacks with the emerging Internet of Things for consumer products and industrial operations.
