Industry urges DOE to consider other agency efforts in drafting bulk power security rules

Industry groups want the Department of Energy to take advantage of and build on efforts at other agencies when crafting new regulations on securing the supply chain for bulk power systems.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Cybersecurity Coalition and the Edison Electric Institute responded separately on Aug. 24 to a notice from DOE asking for input on how it should implement components of a recent executive order on “securing the United States bulk power system” from foreign threats....
