Industry seeks greater voice in development of FASC procedures on security of government purchases

Industry stakeholders are looking for more opportunities to provide input into the processes and procedures of the Federal Acquisition Security Council, following the release of a final rule establishing the new interagency body.

The Information Technology Industry Council has concerns over how much of the FASC’s “nitty gritty” work to determine its “specific procedures” will be “public or “internal government operations,” said Gordon Bitko, the association’s senior vice president of policy, in an interview with Inside Cybersecurity.
