Industry paper suggests Federal Acquisition Security Council as a focal point for government supply chain efforts

The Information Technology Industry Council proposes utilizing the Federal Acquisition Security Council as a way to centralize supply chain initiatives impacting the information and communications technology sector, in a new whitepaper targeted at the federal government.

The FASC was created in 2018 through the SECURE Technology Act and serves as a new interagency organization with the authority to issue removal and exclusion orders for specific products and services.
