Industry groups preparing new 'profiles' on DDoS, botnets and health sector, based on NIST cyber framework

Industry leaders close to the IT and healthcare sectors today highlighted the upcoming release of “profiles” based on the NIST framework of cybersecurity standards for health organizations, botnet threats, and Distributed Denial of Service attacks, with more information to be released at NIST's Risk Management conference in November.

The industry representatives spoke on a webcast hosted by NIST Cybersecurity Framework Program Manager Matthew Barrett, which was framed as a “warmup” for the conference in Baltimore Nov. 7-9.
