IBM finds artificial intelligence tools providing savings for data breach prevention, response operations

Organizations implementing artificial intelligence tools in their security operations are reaping significant benefits in terms of data breach costs, according to an annual report from IBM providing a global perspective on breach expenses, trends and risk mitigations.

“When AI and automation were used extensively in each of the 4 areas of security, it dramatically lowered average breach costs compared to organizations that didn’t use these technologies in those areas,” IBM says in the report released today.
