Huawei points to R&D numbers in disputing allegations of cyber-enabled IP theft

Embattled telecommunications giant Huawei is citing its increase in research and development investment to defend against U.S. allegations that its success is a result of stolen intellectual property -- and assertions the company therefore shouldn’t be trusted to build secure fifth-generation networks.
