Houston mayor considering certification program to make his 'smart city' cybersecure

The city of Houston, seen as a model for aspiring “smart cities,” is considering a cybersecurity certification scheme similar to that applied to critical infrastructure owners by the government of Israel, according to Mayor Sylvester Turner.
