House-Senate agreement paves way for final action on annual defense policy bill carrying cyber provisions

Negotiators have completed work on the fiscal 2023 defense policy bill, setting the stage for final consideration in the House and Senate of a package including language spelling out cyber roles at DHS, codifying the FedRAMP program and other cyber elements.

“We are pleased to announce we’ve come to a bipartisan, bicameral agreement on this year’s National Defense Authorization Act,” the chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate Armed Services committees said in a release Tuesday night....
