House passes legislation directing agencies to limit formal education requirements for cyber jobs

The House has advanced legislation from House Oversight cyber subcommittee Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) to remove educational barriers for cyber jobs in the federal government.

The bill establishes two education requirements for agencies that are hiring individuals in cybersecurity positions. It was approved Monday in a 394-1 vote on the House floor.
