House panel approves election-security bill; Rules Committee considers it on Monday

The House Administration Committee today passed Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren's (D-CA) election-security bill on a partisan vote and the House Rules panel will process the measure on Monday for floor action prior to the July 4th recess.

The Lofgren bill would set a variety of cybersecurity requirements for vendors and for use of funding by states under the Help America Vote Act.
