House Homeland cyber leader Garbarino plans to ask CISA for ex-parte process under incident reporting rulemaking

Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) has committed to getting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to launch an ex-parte process as part of ongoing work to stand up a mandatory cyber incident reporting regime required by Congress.

“I promise we’re going to work on ex-parte through the CIRCIA rule, hopefully get that fixed. And we will continue working on harmonization,” Garbarino said today at the end of a hearing on cyber regulatory harmonization with major industry players.
