House defense authorization bill would create pilot for mitigating supply-chain risks

The House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday will mark up legislation that includes provisions for establishing a pilot project on improved information sharing to mitigate supply-chain risks, among other cybersecurity provisions.

The bill would require the secretary of Defense to establish the program within two years, and to report to Congress within one year the requirements for setting up such a risk-mitigation program.
