House appropriators move to outbid Biden administration on cyber funding with $2.4B plan for CISA

House appropriators today will mark up a fiscal 2022 Department of Homeland Security spending bill that includes an almost $400 million increase for DHS’ cyber agency above this year’s level and a substantial bump above the Biden administration’s request, a funding infusion that lawmakers say is essential given the escalating cybersecurity challenges facing critical infrastructure.
