Homeland Security nominee Kelly urges greater industry collaboration on cybersecurity

Homeland Security Secretary nominee John Kelly called for a cooperative approach to addressing cybersecurity threats -- involving federal, state, and local governments along with the private sector -- during his confirmation hearing Tuesday by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

“Working together makes a lot of sense,” Kelly said during the hearing, stressing that greater cooperation among the private sector and federal and state sectors on cybersecurity will “go a long way.”
