Guidance anxiously awaited as EU's tough new data rule comes into effect

The U.S government remains concerned that the European Union has provided insufficient guidance on how the new EU data privacy and security regulation will affect companies in the United States, which federal officials say has limited their ability to assist companies in complying with rules taking effect on Friday.
