GOP blocks House Intelligence Democrat’s move to subpoena Trump interpreter

The uproar over President Trump’s summit with Vladimir Putin spilled into a House Intelligence Committee hearing on China issues today, as Intelligence ranking member Adam Schiff (D-CA) tried unsuccessfully to subpoena Trump’s interpreter at the private one-on-one meeting with the Russian leader on July 16.
