Global cyber commission offers steps for advancing norms of conduct

An international commission including current and former government security officials, as well as private-sector representatives, is calling for global adoption of eight “norms” of conduct in cyberspace and other steps including creation of pathways for multistakeholder collaboration, in a report released today at the Paris Peace Forum.

The report, “Advancing Cyberstability,” was developed over three years by the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace, a body co-chaired by former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.
