Former FCC security chief Simpson: To secure 5G, clarify roles and responsibilities, offer incentives

Retired Rear Adm. David Simpson, the former FCC security chief, says securing 5G and the related supply chain requires a new, more “agile” approach to regulatory oversight, clarifying responsibilities around managing 5G and Internet of Things risk responsibilities, and incentivizing “proactive cyber risk reduction.”
