Former DHS cyber official warns: Public safety threatened by U.S. moves to cede internet leadership

The Department of Homeland Security's first deputy under secretary for cybersecurity, Mark Weatherford, argues the U.S. government's decision not to sign the recent Paris accord on “trust and security” is an example of the Trump administration receding from a leadership role on global internet governance in a way that threatens national security and public safety.
