Final federal acquisition rule banning Kaspersky products rejects listing specific items

The final version of a federal acquisition regulation banning purchases of Kaspersky Lab products and services rejects a public request to reduce contractor burdens by specifying items covered by the restrictions, a move that hints at how the government may address other cybersecurity supply-chain risks from foreign adversaries.
