Federal officials issue indictment, cyber advisory around North Korean attack on financial entities, cryptocurrency

The Department of Justice has indicted hackers affiliated with the North Korean military in a broad scheme targeting financial institutions and others, including “cryptocurrency theft in over 30 countries during the past year alone,” according to an analysis by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
