Federal officials emphasize role of state-level investments in cybersecurity for fulfilling national cyber strategy

State governments should make proactive investments in cybersecurity to meet the priorities of President Biden’s national cyber strategy, according to the Office of the National Cyber Director’s Drenan Dudley.

Dudley emphasized the cost of a cyber incident and argued it is important to make investments “to the extent that we can” at all levels of government to “build resilience...and free up resources to do other positive things.”
