Federal CIO lays out Trump administration’s cyber goals, with focus on IT modernization

Suzette Kent, the federal chief information officer, said Wednesday the U.S. is at a “critical turning point” in the government’s technology “transformation,” emphasizing IT modernization and connecting with the workforce as major goals of the Trump administration on cybersecurity.

Kent also announced that the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Management and Budget will be sharing “updated and enhanced guidance on the cloud” and on “high-value assets” within the next 30 days, although she didn't offer further details....
