FCC's O'Rielly: Commission should stay back as WiFi standards, tech, enter cybersecurity debate

Facing cybersecurity concerns on two fronts, Federal Communications Commissioner Michael O’Rielly says there is little the agency can do by itself to provide assurances, while calling for an expansion of the amount of unlicensed spectrum available for the WiFi connections that are expected to complement the rollout of 5G networks.
