FCC unveils members of security advisory council, with enhanced role for CISA on 5G

The Federal Communications Commission has selected CISA’s senior official for emergency communications as a co-chair for the latest iteration of the commission’s industry advisory council on security, in an attempt to bring a whole-of-government approach to the council’s activities.

The Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council will be co-chaired by Bill Bob Brown, CISA executive assistant director for emergency communications, and Nasrin Rezai, senior vice president and CISO at Verizon.
