FCC selects firm to oversee administration of funding for Huawei ‘rip-and-replace’ program

The Federal Communications Commission has chosen consulting firm Ernst & Young to manage its reimbursement program for the “rip and replacement” of Huawei and ZTE equipment and services from U.S. telecommunications systems.

The firm will be responsible for distributing the $1.9 billion fund appropriated by Congress in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 for the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program.
