FCC approves final rulemaking on Huawei rip-and-replace program, sets late October date for reimbursement requests

The Federal Communications Commission has adopted its third order related to the “rip and replace” program for ridding the nation’s telecom system of equipment from untrusted suppliers, making several changes to align the FCC’s work with additional requirements outlined by Congress.

FCC Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel on Tuesday announced the commission is targeting October 29 as the start date of the application window for eligible telecoms to submit requests for reimbursement.
