FCC’s last planned rulemaking on Huawei rip-and-replace program details prioritization scheme for distributing funds

The Federal Communications Commission will make changes to its Huawei rip-and-replace program at its July meeting that will clarify how the initiative will work and funding mechanisms put in place for reimbursement.

The third and final rulemaking incorporates revisions made to the program through the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, which the FCC says “appropriated $1.895 billion for the Reimbursement Program and provided additional guidance for and directed changes to several of its provisions.” The FCC will vote July...
