Facebook touts former FTC member McSweeny’s argument on balance in consumer data protection

Terrell McSweeny, until recently a Federal Trade Commission Democratic member, is arguing that the rights of consumers to control data must be balanced with open access to ensure continued innovation, as part of an online public policy debate being promoted by Facebook.
