Equifax leader to detail security efforts as Rep. Waters unveils credit agency bill

Equifax's CEO today will explain a range of cybersecurity improvements undertaken since a massive 2017 data breach at the consumer credit rating firm, during a House Financial Services Committee hearing where the new chairwoman, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), will discuss her legislation addressing consumer rights and tools related to identity theft and fraud.
