Energy Dept. proposes creation of analysis center to partner with CISA collaboration hub

The Energy Department is proposing to offer its own version of CISA’s Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative through the creation of an “Energy Threat Analysis Center” designed to “advance industry-government threat situational awareness, mitigation, and response.”

The proposal is part of DOE’s fiscal 2023 budget request for the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response. The “ETAC” would partner with the JCDC and fall under CESER’s Response and Restoration division, which DOE said in the budget request “coordinates DOE’s...
